Public Service Regulations2 (Amendment)

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922,hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulation.

After regulation 71a of the Public Service Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Approved programs for the purposes of paragraph 33 (4) (b) of the Act

“71b. The following programs to encourage the appointment to the Service of members of the Aboriginal race of Australia or persons who are descendants of indigenous inhabitants of the Torres Strait Islands are declared to be approved programs for the purposes of paragraph 33 (4) (b) of the Act:

(a) the Assistant Research Officer (Aboriginal Services) program;

(b) the Clerical Assistant (Aboriginal Services) Grade 1 program; and

(c) the Clerk (Aboriginal Services) Class 1 program.”.
