Public Service Regulations2 (Amendment)

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922,hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Sick leave to employees

1. Regulation 138 of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “Temporary employees” and substituting “Employees” ;

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “Temporary employees” and substituting “Employees” ; and

(c) by omitting from sub-regulation (3) “a temporary” and substituting “an”.

Further amendments of the Public Service Regulations

2. The Public Service Regulations are further amended as set out in the Schedule.

FURTHER AMENDMENTS OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATIONS

Sub-regulations 46a (1) and (2)—

Omit “the Act in a temporary capacity”, substitute “section 82 of the Act”.

Paragraphs 46a (3) (a) and (b)—

Omit “in a temporary capacity”, substitute “under section 82 of the Act”.

Paragraphs 46a (3) (c) and (d)—

Omit “temporary service”, substitute “service as an employee”.

Sub-regulation 46C (1)—

(a) Omit “the Act in a temporary capacity”, substitute “ section 82 of the Act”.

(b) Omit “in a temporary capacity under”, substitute “under section 82 of”.

Heading to PART VIII—

Omit “TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT”, substitute “EMPLOYEES”.

Regulation 121—

Omit “temporary” from the definition of “register”.

Sub-regulations 122 (1) and 123 (1)—

Omit “temporary”.

Paragraphs 123 (1) (a) and (e) and 124 (1) (a), (b) and (c)—

Omit “temporary”.

Heading to PART X—

Omit “TEMPORARY”.
