“62. In regulations 63 and 64—
‘officer’ includes an employee;
‘recreation leave’ means leave of absence for recreation;
‘relevant sections’ has the same meaning as in section 68F of the Act.
“63. (1) For the purposes of the relevant sections, district allowance shall be included in any salary that is payable in lieu of a recreation leave credit that has accrued by reason of a period of duty of an officer for which district allowance is payable under Public Service Board Determination 1983/10, if, immediately before ceasing to be an officer, the officer was in receipt of district allowance.
“(2) Where, under sub-regulation (1), district allowance is to be included in salary payable to a person who has ceased to be an officer, that allowance is payable at the rate at which district allowance was payable to the person in respect of the last day before he or she ceased to be an officer.”.
“64. Payments in accordance with the relevant sections shall include any amount by way of an allowance, not included in salary under sub-regulation 63 (1), that would have been payable to an officer if the officer had commenced a period of recreation leave during the period in respect of which payment in lieu of a recreation leave credit is made.”.
