Public Service Regulations2 (Amendment)

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922,hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 February 1987.

2. After regulation 70 of the Public Service Regulations the following regulation is inserted in Division IIIa:

Application of provisions of section 22b of the Act—various Commonwealth authorities

“70αa. For the purposes of sub-section 22b (13) of the Act, section 22b of the Act applies to and in relation to a Commonwealth authority specified in Column 2 of Schedule 1αa in an item in that Schedule as if references in section 22b of the Act to the Secretary of a Department were, for the purposes of paragraph 22b (13) (b) of the Act, references to the person for the time being holding, or performing the duties of, the office specified in Column 3 of that Schedule in that item.”.

3. After Schedule 1 to the Public Service Regulations the following Schedule is inserted:

COMMONWEALTH AUTHORITIES SPECIFIED FOR THE PURPOSES OF SUB-SECTION 22b (13) OF THE ACT AND OFFICES SPECIFIED FOR THE PURPOSES OF PARAGRAPH 22b (13) (b) OF THE ACT
