Public Service Regulations2 (Amendment)

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922,hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Leave for appointment as representative of the Commonwealth

1. Regulation 61p of the Public Service Regulations is repealed.

Promotions and transfers: offices other than Senior Executive Service offices: sub-section 33aaa (1) of the Act: prescribed day

2. Regulation 109 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-paragraph (2) (c) (ii) “specified in the notice of the transfer given to the officer as the day on which the transfer takes effect” and substituting “on which the officer is notified of the transfer”.

3. After regulation 176 of the Public Service Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Commonwealth office: sub-section 87 (1) of the Act

“176a. The office or appointment of a representative in another country of the Government of the Commonwealth is declared to be a class of Commonwealth offices for the purposes of Part IV of the Act.”.
