Public Service Regulations2 (Amendment)

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922,hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 March 1987.

Repeal of regulation 15

2. Regulation 15of the Public Service Regulations is repealed.

3. After regulation 47 of the Public Service Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Reduction of recreation leave credit: leave of absence with pay

“48. Where—

(a) an officer applies for leave of absence with pay otherwise than for recreation or on the ground of illness; and

(b) the leave of absence is granted to the officer on condition that a recreation leave credit that would otherwise subsequently accrue to the officer shall be reduced by the period of the leave of absence so granted,

the recreation leave credit that would, but for this regulation, accrue to the officer is reduced by the period of the leave of absence.”.

Repeal of regulation 53a

4. Regulation 53a of the Public Service Regulations is repealed.

Repeal of regulations 61 to 61t

5. Regulations 61 to 61t (inclusive) of the Public Service Regulations are repealed.

Application of Division 2

6. Regulation 76 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (e) “sub-section 71 (1) of the Act” and substituting “Division 3 of Part 2, or Part 9, of Public Service Board Determination 1983/10”.

Recreation leave for employees

7. Regulation 137 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (1b) (a).
