REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

AMENDMENTS OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATIONS 

Interpretation

1. Regulation 3 of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting before the definition of “ the Act ” the following definition:

“ ‘ Regional Director ’ means a person appointed as a Regional Director, Office of the Public Service Board, doing duty in the matter in relation to which the expression is used ”; and

(b) by omitting the definition of “ the Inspector ”.

2. Regulation 141m of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (3) “ with the Public Service Inspector of the State ” and substituting “, in the case of an election in a State, with the Regional Director, Office of the Public Service Board in that State,”.

3. Regulation 141n of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “ of the Public Service Inspector of the State ” and substituting “ of the Regional Director, Office of the Public Service Board in the State in which the election has been held ”.
