REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1953.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1953, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

I, The Governor-General in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby approve the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations. 

Commencement.

1. Regulation 2 of these Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of May, 1953.

Leave of absence for service with International Organizations.

2. Regulation 61a of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting after the words—

“Allied Control Commission for Germany;”

the words—

“Council for Technical Co-operation in South and South-East Asia;”; and

(b) by adding at the end thereof the words—

“World Meteorological Organization.”.

Sectional seniority.

3. Regulation 110a of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting the words “or of Supervisor, Workshops,” and inserting in their stead the words “of Supervisor, Workshops, of Technical Instructor, Technicians’ School, Grade 2, of Senior Technical Instructor, Technicians’ School, in any grade, or of Principal (Technicians’ School)”.
