REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1964.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1964, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations. 

Salaries payable to officers of the Second and Third Divisions.

1. Regulation 104 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting in sub-regulation (8.), after the words "occupies an office in the Third Division", the words " (other than an office of Teacher-in-training)".

Allowance in addition to salary.

2. Regulation 105 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

"(5.) An officer of the Third Division who occupies an office of Medical Officer, Class 1, Medical Officer (Research and Teaching), Class 1, or Resident Medical Officer and who is paid salary at a rate specified in the first column of the table in this sub-regulation may be paid an allowance at the rate specified in the second column of that table opposite to that salary if, after he has been appointed, transferred or promoted to one of those offices, he successfully completes a post-graduate course recognized by the Board for the purpose of this sub-regulation.
