REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC
SERVICE ACT 1922-1964.
1THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and
exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1964, hereby makes, subject to the approval
of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

AMENDMENTS OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE
REGULATIONS.
2First Schedule.
1. The First Schedule to the Public
Service Regulations is amended by omitting
designation numbers 88, 615 and 626 and the particulars opposite to those numbers.

2. The First Schedule to the Public
Service Regulations is amended by omitting designation numbers 61, 214, 300,
301, 302, 500, 605, 654, 661, 664, 701, 748, 770 and 780 and the particulars
opposite to each of those numbers and inserting in their stead, respectively,

Second Schedule
5. The Second Schedule to the Public
Service Regulations is amended by omitting item 13 and inserting in its stead
the following items:—
“13
| Machine Operator,
Grade 1
| 1. He
shall be paid an allowance at the rate of £34 per annum if he has passed a
test conducted by or on behalf of the Board in the operational procedures
appropriate to the section in which he is employed.
|
2. He
shall be paid an allowance at the rate of £42 per annum, where he uses morse
telegraphy for the purpose of setting up the equipment, if– (a) he has demonstrated his proficiency to send and
receive morse signals at the rate of 20 words per minute; and (b) the Chief Officer has certified that the officer is
required, in the performance of his duties, to send and receive messages by
morse signals.”

Second Schedule
6. The
Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting after
item 40 the following item:—
“40a
| Teleprinter Operator
| 1. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of £34 per
annum if he has passed a test conducted by or on behalf of the Board in the
operational procedures appropriate to the section in which he is employed. 2. He shall, if he occupies an office in the
Commonwealth Bureau of Meteorology, Department of the Interior, be paid an
allowance at the rate of £42 per annum on passing a test determined by the Board for the purpose.”
