REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1964.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1964, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations 

Salaries payable to officers of the Fourth Division.

1. Regulation 106 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting in item 5 in the table in sub-regulation (3.), after the words—

" Teleprinter Operator "

the words—

" Trainee Computer Operator ".

First Schedule.

2. The First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.

Second Schedule.

3. The Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.

AMENDMENTS OF THE SECOND SCHEDULE TO THE PUBLIC SERVICE

REGULATIONS

  

Omit item 16a, insert the following item: —

16a Seaman (Able Bodied), Lighthouse Services Section ....

1. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $86.00 per annum while employed as first assistant to the Boatswain on the ship Cape Pillar.

2. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $86.00 per annum in addition to his normal salary if there is included in the duties applicable to his office the function of driver of a LARC-V amphibious vehicle.

Omit item 24, insert the following item:—

24 Technician-in-training..............................................

1. He may, if he obtains a pass in each of the subjects at an examination held at the end of a year of his course of training and obtains not less than 75 per centum of the total marks, be paid an allowance at the rate of $52.00 per annum in respect of the period of 12 months commencing from the beginning of the first pay period commencing in the month of January in the next succeeding year.
