1966. No. 160

REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1966.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1966, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations  

Recording and payment for overtime.

1. Regulation 67 of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (14.) the words " and the Department of Primary Industry ";

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (14.) the words " or the Commerce (Trade Descriptions) Act 1905-1930,"; and

(c) by omitting from sub-regulation (14.) the figures " $1.85 " and inserting in their stead the figures " $1.95 ".

Sunday duty.

2. Regulation 70 of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (6a.) the words " and the Department of Primary Industry ";

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (6a.) the words " or the Commerce (Trade Practices) Act 1905-1930,"; and

(c) by omitting from sub-regulation (6a.) the figures " $1.85 " and inserting in their stead the figures " $1.95 ".

Salaries payable to officers of the Fourth Division.

3. Regulation 106 of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from item 4 in the table in sub-regulation (3.) the words " Coding Machinist (Female),";

(b) by inserting in item 5 in the table in sub-regulation (3.), after the words—

" Machine Operator-in-training,"

the words—

" Mail Officer (Coding),"; and

(c) by inserting in item 6 in the table in sub-regulation (3.) after the words—

" Teleprinter Switchboard Attendant (Female),"

the words—

" Telex Service Operator (Female) ".

First Schedule.

4. The First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.

Second Schedule.

5. The Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.

Fourth Schedule.

6. The Fourth Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Third Schedule to these Regulations,

After item 10, insert the following item:—

10a Mail Officer (Coding)

1. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $100.00 per annum on passing a test determined by the Board for the purpose of this item.

After item 37, insert the following item:—

37a Telex Service Operator (Female)

1. She shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $68.00 per annum if she has passed a test conducted by or on behalf of the Board in the operation procedures appropriate to Telex Exchanges.
