REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1967*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1967, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations  

Recording and payment for overtime.

1. Regulation 67 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (14.) the words " under the Customs Act 1901-1930, the Excise Act 1901-1923, be paid at the rate of $1.95 per hour or part thereof " and inserting in their stead the words " under the Customs Act 1901-1967 or the Excise Act 1901-1966, be paid at the rate of $2.15 per hour or part of an hour ".

Sunday duty.

2. Regulation 70 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (6a.) all the words from and including the words " under the Customs Act " to the end of that sub-regulation and inserting in their stead the words " under the Customs Act 1901-1967 or the Excise Act 1901-1966, be paid for that duty at the rate of $2.15 per hour or part of an hour ".

Persons employed in the Repatriation Department.

3. Regulation 74d of the Public Service Regulations is repealed.

First Schedule.

4. The First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.

Second Schedule.

5. The Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.

Fourth Schedule.

6. The Fourth Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Third Schedule to these Regulations.

Authority for payment of allowances.

7. The Public Service Board may authorize the payment of an allowance in respect of the period that commenced on the twenty-third day of December, 1966, and ended on the day immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, to an officer who occupied the office of Assistant to the Public Service Arbitrator during the whole or a part of that period of such amount as would result in the total remuneration of the officer for the whole or the part of that period being not less than the total remuneration that would have been payable to the officer if the last preceding regulation had taken effect on the twenty-third day of December, 1966.

AMENDMENTS OF THE SECOND SCHEDULE TO THE

PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATIONS

Omit items 9 and 10.

After item 22, insert the following item:—

22a Senior Orderly....................

1. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $53.00 per annum if he holds the Certificate of the Australian Society of Anaesthetic and Operating Theatre Technicians and if he performs duties of the kind to which the certificate relates.

After item 29, insert the following item:—

29a Tutor Nurse (Male)..............

1. He shall, if his annual salary is not in excess of $3,252.00, be paid an allowance at the rate of $80.00 per annum in respect of each post-graduate nursing certificate of the College of Nursing, Australia or the New South Wales College of Nursing recognised by the Board and held by him if he performs duties of the kind to which the certificate relates.

2. She shall, if her annual salary is not in excess of $2,850.00, be paid an allowance at the rate of $53.00 per annum in respect of each post-graduate nursing certificate, other than a certificate referred to in the last preceding paragraph, recognised by the Board and held by her if she performs duties of the kind to which the certificate relates.
