REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1967.*
THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in
pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public
Service Act 1922-1967, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the
Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service
Regulations
Salaries
payable to officers of the Fourth Division.
1. Regulation 106 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by
inserting in item 5 in the table in sub-regulation (3.) after the words “ Mail
Officer (Coding);” the words “ Radio Officer;”.

First Schedule.
2. The First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as
set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.

3. The Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended
as set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.
Fourth
Schedule.
4. The Fourth Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended
as set out in the Third Schedule to these Regulations.
Authority
for payment of allowances.
5. The Public Service Board may authorize the payment of an allowance
in respect of the period that commenced on the first day of July, 1967, and
ended on the day immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, to each officer who occupies an office, and to each officer or
employee who performs the duties of an office, specified in Group 1 of
the Fourth Schedule to the Public Service Regulations during the whole or part
of that period of such an amount as would result in the total remuneration of the
officer or employee for the whole or the part of that period being not less
than the total remuneration that would have been payable to that officer or
employee if the amendment made by the last preceding regulation had taken
effect on the first day of July, 1967.

3.
AMENDMENTS OF THE SECOND SCHEDULE TO THE
PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATIONS
After item 3, insert the
following item:— |
3a Communications Officer.............
| 1. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $133 per annum if—
|
(a) he has passed the test determined by the Board for the
purpose; and
|
(b) his rate of annual salary is less than $3,087.00.

Omit item 9, insert the

| 1. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate per annum
ascertained in accordance with the table hereunder if—
|
(a) he has passed the test determined by the Board for
the purpose; and
|
(b) his rate of annual salary is less than $2,821,00
