I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby approve the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations
(
a ) by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words “between the ages of six and seventeen years”; and(
b ) by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulations:—“(3.) Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, an allowance under this regulation ceases to be payable in respect of the child when the child attains the age of eighteen years.
“(4.) Where a child in respect of whom an allowance is payable under this regulation attains the age of eighteen years after the commencement of a school year and before the end of that school year, the allowance payable under this regulation continues to be payable during that school year as if the date on which the child attains the age of eighteen years were a date after the end of that school year.”.
