REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1968.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1968, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations 

Education allowance to officers and employees stationed at lighthouses.

1. Regulation 95c of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words “between the ages of six and seventeen years”; and

(b) by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulations:—

“(3.) Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, an allowance under this regulation ceases to be payable in respect of the child when the child attains the age of eighteen years.

“(4.) Where a child in respect of whom an allowance is payable under this regulation attains the age of eighteen years after the commencement of a school year and before the end of that school year, the allowance payable under this regulation continues to be payable during that school year as if the date on which the child attains the age of eighteen years were a date after the end of that school year.”.

Rates and conditions of Woomera allowance.

2. Regulation 103a of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting sub-regulation (2.);

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (4a.) the word and figure “or (2.)”; and

(c) by omitting from sub-regulations (8.) and (9.) the figure “(2.),”.

Increments of salary.

3. Regulation 114 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulations (2.) and (4.).
