REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1968.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1968, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

First Schedule.

1.—(1.) Part I. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.

(2.) Part III. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.

Second Schedule.

2. The Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Third Schedule to these Regulations.

THIRD SCHEDULE Regulation 2.

Amendment of the Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations

After item 8, insert the following item:—

“ 8a Limb Maker and Fitter  .. 1. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $50.00 per annum if—

(a) he has passed in all parts of the examination for the award of the Departmental Certificate in Prosthetics the passing of which ordinarily constitutes the completion of the first stage of the course;

(b) his rate of annual salary is less than $2,950.00; and (c) he is not in receipt of an allowance under paragraph 3. of this item.

2. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $100.00 per annum if—

(a) he satisfies the conditions specified in sub-paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) of the last preceding paragraph; and

(b) he has passed in all parts of the examination for the award of the Departmental Certificate in Prosthetics the passing of which ordinarily constitutes the completion of the second stage.

3. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate per annum ascertained in accordance with the following table if—

(a) he has passed the test determined by the Board for the purpose of this sub-paragraph; and

(b) his rate of annual salary is less than $3,310.00.
