REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1968.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1968, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Dated this eleventh day of December, 1969.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby approve the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations 

Salaries payable to officers of the Third Division.

1. Regulation 105 of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a)by omitting from sub-regulation (5.) the word “ two ” and inserting in its stead the word “ three ”;

(b) by inserting after sub-regulation (6b.) the following sub-regulation:—

“ (6c.) The rate of annual salary payable to an officer who occupies an office of Teacher-in-training and is of an age specified in the first column of the table in this sub-regulation is—

(a) in the case of a male officer—the rate specified in the second column of that table; or

(a) by inserting after Item 2 of Part I. the following item:—

1. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $135.00 per annum whilst associated with the teaching of aboriginal children.

2. He shall be paid, in addition to the allowance specified in the last paragraph, an allowance at the rate of $350.00 per annum while in charge of a school of the kind known as a one-teacher school “; and

(b)by omitting the table in paragraph 2 of Part II. and inserting in its stead the following table:—
