REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1968.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1968, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations 

Salaries payable to officers of the Third Division.

1. Regulation 105 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from the table in sub-regulation (9.) the words “ Supervisor-in-training (Mail) ”.

First Schedule.

2.—(1.) Part I. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.

(2.) Part II. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting Group 436; and

(b) by omitting Group 442.

(3.) Part III. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.

Second Schedule.

3. The Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Third Schedule to these Regulations.

Fourth Schedule.

4.—(1.) Part I. of the Fourth Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Fourth Schedule to these Regulations.

(2.) Part III. of the Fourth Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting the words and figures—

“ Instructor, Grade 1

3,220–3,353–3,579 ”;

And

(b) by adding at the end of that Part the words and figures—

“ Supervisor-in-training (Mail)

THIRD SCHEDULE Regulation 3.

Amendment of the Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations

After item 1, insert the following item:—

Assistant Photographer1aa

He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $380 per annum if—

(a) he has completed two years’ service in an office of Assistant Photographer;

(b) the Board is satisfied that he is capable of performing all duties of the office; and

(c) he has not attained the age of 21 years.

After item 3a, insert the following item:—

Darkroom Operator, Grade 1

He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $380 per annum if—

(a) he has completed two years’ service in an office of Darkroom Operator, Grade 1 or Assistant Photographer;

(b) the Board is satisfied that he is capable of per forming all duties of the office; and

(c) he has not attained the age of 21 years.
