Amendments of the Public Service Regulations
1. Regulation 68 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (3.) the words “ paragraph (a ), (c ) or(d ) ” and inserting in their stead the words “ paragraph (a ), (ba ),(c ) or (d ) ”.
2. Regulation 105 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (11.) the following sub-regulation:—“ (12.) Where an officer—
(
a ) occupies an office of Teacher, Department of Education and Science or Teacher, Grade 1;(
b ) has been admitted, or is eligible to be admitted, to a degree of an Australian University, or to a degree of an overseas University, being a degree that is of a standard at least equal to the standard of a degree conferred by an Australian University; and

(
c ) has been in receipt of salary at the maximum rate per annum applicable to the office he occupies for a period specified in the first column of the table in this sub-regulation,
the officer shall be paid an allowance at the rate specified in the second column of that table, opposite to the period in the first column, that is applicable to the officer.
