REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1974.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, hereby approve the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) regulations

Payment in lieu of recreation leave for certain officers ceasing to be officers otherwise than by death.

1. Regulation 36c of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) the word and figures “ section 68 ” and substituting the word and figures “ section 68b ”.

Additional allowance where other passengers or goods are carried on behalf of Australia.

2. Regulation 68c of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (b) the words “ two hundredweights ” and substituting the figures and word “ 100 kilograms ”; and

(b) by omitting the figure and words “ 1 cent per mile for each mile ” and substituting the figures and words “ 0.63 cents per kilometre for each kilometre ”.

Cleaning allowance.

3. Regulation 69b of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (1) the words “ twenty-five feet ” and substituting the figures and word “ 7.5 metres ”; and

(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (1) the words “ ten feet ” and substituting the figure and word “ 3 metres ”.
