REGULATIONS UNDER THE
PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1964.*
I,
THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council on the recommendation of the President
of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives hereby make the
following Regulations under the Public Service Act 1922-1964.

Amendments
of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations.
Officer attending as jurors.
1. Regulation 35 of the Public
Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting
sub-regulations (2.) and (3.) and inserting in their stead the following
sub-regulations:—
“(2.) An officer who attends as a
juror during any period in which he would otherwise be required to perform the
duties of his office, being a performance of those duties during the normal
hours of duty, shall be granted leave of absence with full pay for that period.
“(3.) An officer who, on any day,
attends as a juror during a period referred to in the last preceding
sub-regulation shall pay to the Commonwealth so much of any amounts received by
him as fees for his attendance as a juror on that day as the Permanent Head
thinks reasonable, having regard to the proportion that that period bears to
the total period of his attendance as a juror on that day and having regard to
any expenses incurred by the officer in respect of that attendance.”.
Salaries payable to officers of the Second and Third Divisions.
2. Regulation 71 of the Public
Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting
from the table in sub-regulation (1.) the figures “499”, “590”, “676” and “740”
and inserting in their stead the figures “529”, “625”, “711” and “810”,
respectively;

3. Regulation 72 of the Public

The scale of rates of annual salary payable to an officer who occupies an
office of Typist (Female) or Accounting Machinist (Female) Grade 1 is
£374-£424-£472-£527-£594-£678-£706-£734-£762.”;
(b) by omitting the
table in sub-regulation (5.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—
