AN ACT to amend the Public Service Appeal Board Act,

1920-1948.

[Assented to 14th September, 1949.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation.

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Public Service Appeal Board Act Amendment Act, 1949.

(2) This Act shall be read as one with the Public Service Appeal Board Act, 1920-1948 (No. 14 of 1920, as reprinted in the Appendix to the Sessional Volume of Statutes for the year 1930 and amended by the Acts Nos. 19 of 1932, 29 of 1935, 27 of 1937, 21 of 1941, 10 of 1943, 42 of 1945, and 39 of 1948, and affected by No. 38 of 1945 and No. 33 of 1946), hereinafter in this Act referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Public Service Appeal Board Act, 1920- 1949.

Ame ndment

2. Section two of the principal Act is amended— of s 2.

(a) by deleting from paragraph (c) of subsection (1) the words "or under section twelve of the Agricultural Bank Act, 1906," in lines three and four; and

(b) by adding after paragraph (d) of subsection (1) the words, "but on and after the twenty- second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight, 'public servant' does

not include an officer of the Rural and

Industries Bank of Western Australia."

Amendment

3. Section six of the principal Act is amended of s. 6.

(a)

by deleting from paragraph (a) of subsection

(1) the words "the Managing Trustee of the

Agricultural Bank" in lines five and six; and

(b)

by deleting from paragraph (b) of subsection (a) the words "or under the Agricultural Bank Act, 1934," in line four.
