AN ACT to amend the Public Service Appeal Board

B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byCouncil and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inand with the advice and consent of the Legislative
this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of
the same, as follows:—
1. This Act may be cited as the Public Service Appeal Short
Board Act Amendment Act, 1929.
2. Section two of the Public Service Appeal Board Act, 1,tn,endment of
1920 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), is amended
by inserting after the figures "1906" in paragraph (c) of sub-
section (1) thereof the words "or as an officer of the field
staff of the Forestry Department."
3. Section three of the principal Act is amended by in- sAmsendmeut of
serting after the word "member" in the sixth line of para- graph (a) of subsection (2) the words "to represent the division of the Public Service concerned."

lows :—
(1) The word "or" in the fourth line of paragraph (a)
of subsection (1) is omitted, and the words "the

the Conservator of Forests," are inserted after the words "Minister of Education" in the fifth line thereof.
(2) Paragraphs (d) and (f) of subsection (1) are re-
pealed.
(3) Paragraphs are added to subsection (1) as fol-
lows:—
| (e) | to hear and determine any appeal by the Civil Service Association on behalf of an officer appointed to a vacant position against a re- classification of such position made subse- quently to the position being vacated; |
| (f) | to hear and determine any appeal by the Civil Service Association on behalf of any public servant from the Commissioner, under sec- tions forty-seven and forty-nine of the Public Service Act, 1904; and to adjust all such matters as aforesaid. |
