AN ACT to amend section sixty-four of the Public

Service Act, 1904-1947.

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :--

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Public Service Act Amendment Act, 1948, and shall be read as one with the Public Service Act, 1904-1947 (Act No. 41. of 1904, reprinted with amendments to Act No. 17 of 1930 included, in the Appendix to the Sessional Volume of the Statutes for the year one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and further amended by Acts Nos. 28 of 1935, 16 and 52 of 1947), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Amendment

Section sixty-four of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words "Labour Day (first day of May)" in paragraph (b), line three, the words "Labour Day (first day of March) ".
