Citation

1. These regulations may be cited as the Public Sector Manugem	ent
(Redeployment and Redundancy) Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 1996.
Principal regulations

2.      In these regulations the Public Sector Munu ement (Redeployment and

Redundancy) Regulations 1994* are referred to as t % e principal regulations.

Regulation 3 amended

3.     (1) Re lation 3 (1) of the principal regulations is amended in the

definition S,

definition o r u p a y " by inserting after paragraph (a) the following

paragraph -

(aa)	an allowance -
(i) that is always paid with the award rate of pay a p licable to

where the recipient does not have a substantive	the substantive classification of the recipient of t e pay or, E
classification, with the rate or pay under his or her contract of employment; and

(ii)      relating to the time, place or circumstances a t or in which the payment of which is not subject to any condition

the recipient of the pay is employed, or to any other

condition; ,,

(2) Re lation 3 (1) is further amended in the definition of "pay" by

inserting a ter "any other kind" the following -	P

unless the Minister has approved the allowance for the purposes of this

Regulation 4 amended

4.       Regulation 4 (2) of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

paragraph (d) and "or" after that paragraph and substituting the following -

(d) who is employed under a contract of employment that has a fmed

term and who is not a permanent officer; or

Regulation 11 amended

6. (1) Regulation 11 (1) of the principal regulations is amended -

(a) in paragraph (a), by inserting after "abolished" the following -

or who is otherwise surplus to the requirements of his or

her department or organization	n.

and

(b) in paragraph (b), by deleting "within," and substituting the following -

" within ".

(2)	Regulation 11 (3) of the rinci a1 regulations is amended by deleting
"shall register" and substituting &e	folkwing -
U may register ".
Regulation 18 amended

6.     Regulation 18 (4) of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

"beginning on the day of that acceptance" and substituting the following -

after the day on which the registered employee begins employment in

the new office, post or position 99

Regulation 26 amended

7. Reg;ulation 25 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

"7 days.	and substituting the following -
" 21 days. ".
