I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Part 3A of the Public Sector Management Act 1988, make the Order set out hereunder.

1 Name of Order

This Order is the Public Sector Management (Valuer-General‘s

Department) Order 1997.

2 Commencement

This Order commences on 18 April 1997.

3 Establishment of new Department

The Valuer-General’s Department is established as a department of the Public Service responsible to the Minister for Land and Water Conservation.

4     Amendment of Schedule 1 (Departments)

Schedule 1 to the Public Sector Management Act 1988 is amended by inserting in alphabetical order of departments the following matter:

Clause 5 Public Sector Management Act 1988—Order

5     Construction of references to Valuer General’s Office

A reference in any Act or statutory instrument, or in any other instrument, or in any contract or agreement to the Valuer General’s Office is to be construed as a reference to the Valuer

General’s Department.
