I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of Part 3A of the Public Sector Management Act 1988, make the Order set out hereunder.

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Sector Management-

Administrative Changes (State and Regional Development) Order 1995.

Definition

2. In this Order, “document” means any Act or statutory instrument, or any other instrument, or any contract or agreement.

Establishment of new department

3. The Department of State and Regional Development is established as a department of the Public Service.

Abolition of certain departments and transfer of branches

4. (1) All branches are removed from the Department of Business and Regional Development and added to the Department of State and Regional Development. The Department of Business and Regional Development is abolished.

(2) All branches are removed from the Department of State Development and added to the Department of State and Regional Development. The Department of State Development is abolished.

Amendment of Schedule 1 (departments)

5. Schedule 1 to the Public Sector Management Act 1988 is amended:

(a) by omitting the following matter:
Department of Business and Director-General of the
Regional Development Department
Department of State Director-General of the
Development Department

(b)

by inserting in alphabetical order of departments the following matter:

Department of State and Director-General of the
Regional Development Department

Construction of certain references

6. (1) In any document, a reference to the Department of Business and Regional Development is to be construed as a reference to the Department of State and Regional Development.

(2) In any document, a reference to the Department of State Development is to be construed as a reference to the Department of State and Regional Development.
