1. These Regulations may be cited as the Recreation Reserve short title.
Regulations.
2. I n these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears— Definitions.
" M e e t i n g " includes agricultural or pastoral show, exhibition,
races, athletic sports or other entertainment;
" O r d i n a n c e " means the Public Paries Ordinance 1928; " Reserve " means a Recreation Reserve and includes a Public

" Trustees " means Trustees appointed under the Ordinance.
3. The Trustees of any Reserve shall once at least in each period Meetings of

Provided—
(i) that the days the Trustees may direct the Reserve shall not be open to the public shall not exceed twenty-eight in any one year; and
(ii) that the Trustees may not at any time direct that the Reserve shall not be open to the public on more consecutive days than three.

The Trustees of any Reserve may, on any day or portion of a day on or during which the Reserve is not open to the public, make a charge, approved by the Commission, for admission to the Reserve while it is not so open, and may exclude any person who does not pay the amount charged. |

| (2.) The Trustees, of any Reserve may- grant to any person or persons, comjjany or corporation the exclusive right to occupy and use for a meeting the Reserve or any portion thereof on any day or por'ion of a day on or during which the Reserve is not open to the public ou such terms as the Trustees think fit, and the person, company or corporation to whom such right is granted may make a charge, approved by the Commission, for admission to the Reserve during such time as such person, company or corporation continues to have ,such right, and may exclude any person who does not pay the amount charged. | |

| (2.) The Commission may, by notice in writing specifying the repairs necessary, require the Trustees to effect such repairs. | |
| (3.) Upon the non-compliance with this Regulation within one calendar month after the date of any notice requiring repairs to be effected, the Commission or any person or persons authorized by the Commission may enter the Reserve and effect any repairs which the Trustees were required to effect, and the cost incurred by the Commission in so doing shall be paid by the Trustees to the Commission and may be recovered in any court of competent jurisdiction. |

(b) leaves any book, paper, fruit, peel, litter, waste food oi refuse of any kind in any Reserve except in a place especially provided therefor by the Trustees thereof or the Commission; or
(c) without lawful authority (proof whereof shall lie upon him) plays upon any instrument or discharges firearms or fireworks in a Reserve; or
(d) brings any dog into a Reserve, unless the dog is held by a
chain or cord;
shall be guilty of an offence.
18. Any person who, without lawful excuse (proof whereof shall lie Trespassing in

| (a) enters or goes upon any portion of a Reserve as to which any notice is ' posted or exhibited that admittance is prohibited; or | ||
| (b) takes any vehicle or rides any horse into any portion of a Reserve except a portion especially provided in such Reserve by the Trustees thereof or the Commission; |
shall be guilty of an offence.
19. Any person who, without lawful authority (proof whereof shall Camping

20. A person shall not play or take part in any game of cricket or piayingof
football or in any other game or athletic sports in a Reserve, except in prohibited in such portions thereof as the Commission or the Trustees set apart for certain parts, the purpose, and except on such conditions as the Commission or the
Trustees direct.
21. A person shall not, without the permission in writing of the •unauthorized
Commission or the Trustees (proof whereof shall lie upon h im) , hold prohibited,
or take part in any public assembly or meeting of any kind, or preach
at or address any such public assembly or meeting in a Reserve.
22. A person shall not erect tents, booths, stalls, posts, or poles en Erection of

24. A person shall not, without the permission in writing of the Grazing of
Commission or the Trustees (proof whereof shall lie upon h im) , allow any horse, mare, gelding, colt, filly, ass, mule, bull, cow, ox, heifer, steer, calf, sheep, ram, ewe, lamb, goat or pig to graze in any Reserve, or take into or permit any such animal to enter any such Reserve for the purpose of grazing.

26. Any person who commits an offence against or contravenes a Penalty.
provision of these Regulations may be prosecuted summarily before any court of competent jurisdiction, and that court may in respect of such offence or contravention impose a penalty not exceeding Ten Pounds.
