1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Public Intoxication Regulations 2004.

3—Interpretation

In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

Act means the Public Intoxication Act 1984;

petrol includes any volatile liquid containing hydrocarbons;

volatile substance means a substance declared to be a volatile solvent under section 12(7) of the Controlled Substances Act 1984.

4—Declaration of substances as a drug (section 5)

For the purposes of the Act, the following substances are declared to be drugs:

(a)petrol;

(b)volatile substances.
