PUBLIC HOSPITALS ACT 1929—ORDER

(Relating to the Mercy Hospital Newcastle)

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 4 (4) of the Public Hospitals Act 1929, do, by this my Order, with effect on and from 1 July 1994, amend the Third Schedule to that Act by omitting the name “Newcastle Mater Misericordiae Hospital (Waratah).” and by inserting instead in

alphabetical order the name “Mercy Hospital Newcastle.”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Third Schedule to the Public Hospitals Act 1929 contains a list of the names

of separate institutions. The object of this Order is to the amend that Schedule to

omit the name “Newcastle Mater Misericordiae Hospital (Waratah)” and replace it

with the name “Mercy Hospital Newcastle”.
