PUBLIC HOSPITALS ACT 1929—ORDER

(Relating to amalgamation of hospitals)

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State
of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, on the

recommendation of the Minister for Health, and in pursuance of section 13A (2) of the Public Hospitals Act 1929, do, by this my Order, amalgamate, with effect on 1 July 1993, The Bingara District Hospital, The Boggabri District Hospital, Moree Plains Health Service, The Narrabri District Hospital, The Warialda District Hospital, and Wee Waa District HeaIth Service under the name “Barwon Health Services” and, in pursuance of section 4 (2) of that Act, amend, with effect on the same date, the Second Schedule to that Act:

by omitting the following matter:

The Bingara District Hospital.	Bingara District.
The Boggabri District Hospital.	Boggabri District.
Moree Plains Health Service.	Moree District.
The Narrabri District Hospital.	Narrabri District.
The Warialda District Hospital.	Warialda District.
Wee Waa District Health Service.	Wee Waa District.

by inserting in the First and Second Columns, in alphabetical

order, the following matter:

Barwon Health Services. The Bingara District Hospital.

The Boggabri District Hospital.
Moree Plains Health Service.
The Narrabri District Hospital.
The Warialda District Hospital.
Wee Waa District Health Service.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Section 13A (2) of the Public Hospitals Act 1929 provides that the Governor

may, by order made on the recommendation of the Minister, amalgamate 2 or more

incorporated hospitals. The object of this Order is to amalgamate the following

incorporated hospitals under the name “Barwon Health Services”:

• The Bingara District Hospital

• The Boggabri District Hospital

• Moree Plains Health Service

• The Narrabri District Hospital • The Warialda District Hospital

• Wee Waa District Health Service.

The Order also amends the Second Schedule to the Act (under section 4 (2) of

the Act), which contains a list of incorporated hospitals, to reflect this change.
