I, the Minister for Finance and Services, at the request of Newcastle City Council and in pursuance of section 8 (1) of the Public Holidays Act 2010, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to declare 16 March 2012 to be a local event day for the Newcastle
City local government area.

This Order is made under section 8 (1) of the Public Holidays Act 2010.

This Order is the Public Holidays Amendment (Newcastle City Council)

2      Commencement

This Order commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Public Holidays Order 2011

Insert at the end of the Order with appropriate clause numbering:

Newcastle City local event day

For the purposes of section 8 (1) of the Act, 16 March 2012 is declared to be a local event day for the Newcastle City local government area.
