Public Health (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations

I, ALLAN CLYDE HOLDING, the Minister of State for the Arts and Territories, hereby make the following Regulations under the Public Health Ordinance 1928.

Citation

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Public Health (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations.

Amendments

2.  The Regulations specified in the Schedule are amended as set out in the Schedule.

SCHEDULE  Regulation 2

AMENDMENTS OF REGULATIONS

Public Health (Barbers’ Shops) Regulations

Subregulation 6 (3)—

Insert “, upon payment of the determined fee,” after “shall”.

Subregulation 6 (6)—

Omit the subregulation.

Paragraph 9 (a)—

Insert “or her” after “his”.

Regulation 15—

Insert “or she” after “he”.

Subregulation 17 (1)—

Omit “by him”.

Regulation 18—

Omit “is himself”, substitute “or she is”.

Subregulation 20 (5)—

Insert “or her” after “his”.

Regulation 21—

Omit “which is applicable to him”.

The Schedule (Form A)—

Omit “prescribed fee of $20”, substitute “determined fee”.

Public Health (Boarding-houses) Regulations

Subregulation 3 (1) (definition of “Boarding-house”)—

Omit “means and”.

Subregulation 5 (1)—

Omit “a fee of $20”, substitute “the determined fee”.

Subregulations 8 (1A) and 17 (1)—

Insert “or her” after “his”.

Public Health (Dairy) Regulations

Subregulation 6 (4)—

Insert “, upon payment of the determined fee,” after “shall”.

Subregulation 6 (7)—

Omit the subregulation.

Subregulation 19 (5)—

Omit “a fee of $5”, substitute “the determined fee”.

The Schedule (Form 1)—

Omit “prescribed”, substitute “determined”.

Public Health (Eating Houses) Regulations

Regulation 3—

Insert “or her” after “his”.

Subregulation 4 (1)—

Omit the subregulation, substitute the following subregulation:

“(1)  An application for the registration of an eating house and for the entry of a person’s name as the proprietor shall be in accordance with Form A in the Schedule, and shall be accompanied by the determined fee.”.

Subregulations 17 (1) and (2)—

Insert “or her” after “his”.

The Schedule (Form A)—

Omit “prescribed fee of $20”, substitute “determined fee”.

Public Health (Meat) Regulations

Regulation 4—

(a)Omit “a fee of $20” (wherever occurring), substitute “the determined fee”.

(b)Omit “fee of $20 paid by him”, substitute “determined fee”.

Regulation 6—

Omit “a fee of $20”, substitute “the determined fee”.

Paragraph 13 (b)—

Insert “or her” after “him”.

The Schedule (Form A)—

Omit “Registration Fee”, substitute “the determined fee”.

Further amendments—

The following provisions are amended by inserting “or her” after “his” (wherever occurring):

Subregulation 3 (1), paragraphs 13 (a), (b) and (i), 14 (f) and (g), subregulation 15 (1), regulation 18, subregulations 19 (6) and 20 (1).

The following provisions are amended by inserting “or she” after “he”:

Paragraph 3 (1) (a), subregulations 19 (6) and 20 (2).

The following provisions are amended by inserting “or herself” after “himself”:

Regulations 16 and 17.

Public Health (Piggeries) Regulations

Subregulation 4 (1)—

Omit the subregulation, substitute the following subregulation:

“(1)  An application for the registration of any premises as a piggery and for the entry of a person’s name as the proprietor shall be in accordance with Form A in the Schedule, and shall be accompanied by the determined fee.”.

Subregulation 5 (1)—

Omit “by man”, substitute “by humans”.

Subregulation 7 (2)—

Insert “or she” after “he”.

The Schedule (Form A)—

Omit “prescribed fee of $1”, substitute “determined fee”.

Further amendments—

The following provisions are amended by inserting “or her” after “his” (wherever occurring):

Regulation 6, paragraphs 7 (1) (a), (b) and (c), subregulation 7 (2).
