Definilionl. 1. Regulation 2 of the Public Health (Medical and Dental Inspection of

School Children) Regulations is amended by inserting, after the definition of
" Authorized medical officer ", the following definition:—

" 'Dental therapist' means a person who occupies, or is employed to per- form the duties of, an office under the Public Service Act 1922-1968 of Dental Therapist (Female);".

Public Health (Medical and Dental Inspection of School Children) Regulations

2. Regulation 4 of the Public Health (Medical and Dental Inspection of

School Children) Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting in sub-regulation (l.)» after the words "authorized dent- ist ", the words " or an authorized dental therapist"; and
(b) by inserting in sub-regulation (2.)» after the word "dentist", the words " or dental therapist ".

3. Regulation 5 of the Public Health (Medical and Dental Inspection of School Children) Regulations is amended by omitting the words " the authorized medical officer, or authorized dentist," and inserting in their stead the words " an authorized medical officer or an authorized dentist ".
