Public Health (Meat) Regulations1 (Amendment)

The Australian Capital Territory Executive makes the following Regulations under the Public Health Act 1928.

Principal Regulations
1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Public Health (Meat) Regulations.
Commencement
2. These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette.
Interpretation
3. Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting the definition of “Licensed meat vendor”.
Conditions applicable to meat sold
4. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (1) (a).
Repeal
5. Regulations 4 to 6 (inclusive) of the Principal Regulations are repealed.
Construction of butcher’s shops
6. Regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “Licensed”.
Responsibilities of meat vendor
7. Regulation 13 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “licensed”.
Repeal
8. Regulation 19 of the Principal Regulations is repealed.
Source of minced meat and prepared meat goods
9. Regulation 20 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from subregulation (2) “licensed meat vendor or the holder of a Permit to sell Prepared Meat Goods fail” and substituting “meat vendor fails”.
Cleanliness and construction of areas used for preparation of meat
10. Regulation 21 of the Principal Regulations is amended—
(a)by omitting from subregulation (2) “the last preceding subregulation” and substituting “subregulation (1)”; and
(b)by omitting from subregulation (4) “the last preceding subregulation” and substituting “subregulation (3)”.
Repeal
11. The Schedule to the Principal Regulations is repealed.
