I CHARLES WILLIAM OLANAN" MARE, Minister of State for Interior, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Seat of

, Health, acting for and on behalf of the Minister of State for the

Government (Administration) Ordinance 1930, and the Public Health Ordinance 1928-1930, hereby make the following regulations to come into opeTation forthwith.

PUBLIC HEALTH (MEAT) REGULATIONS.

1.—Regulation 23 of the Publio Health (Meat) Regulations 19317

is hereby repealed and the following regulation inserted in its place:—

"23.—(l . ) .Any contravention of these Regulations shall be

deemed to be an offence against these Regulations.

(2.) In any prosecution for an offence against these Regulations—

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

(a) evidence that meat was Eold from, or exposed for sale in
or from a vehicle bearing thereon the name or trade
name of a person carrying on the business of selling meat

shall be prima facie evidence that the meat was sold or

exposed for sale by that person; and

(b) evidence that meat was in a vehicle, bearing thereon the name or trade name of a person carrying on the business of selling meat shall he prima facie evidence that the meat was in the possession of that person for sale."
