An Act to amend the Public Health Act, 1902, as a consequence of the enactment of the Local Government (Amendment) Act, 1980. [Assented to, 29th April, 1980.]

Public Health (Local Government) Amendment.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the ‘Public Health (Local Short title.

Government) Amendment Act, 1980”.

2.      (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on the date Commencc-

(2) Except as provided by subsection (1), this Act shall commence on the day on which Schedule 4 to the Local Government (Amendment) Act, 1980, commences.

3. The Public Health Act. 1902. is amended- .Xmendment i>f Act No. .SO, I90:.

(a)	by omitting from section 3 the definition of “Health scc. 3. inspector” and by inserting instead the following (intcrprc-
definition :— lalion.)

“Health surveyor” includes any health surveyor of the Commission and any servant of a local authority employed to carry out the provisions of this Act or any other Act relating to public health.

(b)	by omitting from section 19 the words “health inspector” sec. 19.
and by inserting instead the words “health surveyor”; (Powersof
