Public Health and Wellbeing Amendment Regulations 2020

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019 to prescribe registered medical practitioners as a prescribed class for the purposes of section 134(1)(b)(i) of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 232 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 5 February 2020.

4New Division 4A of Part 7 inserted

After Division 4 of Part 7 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019[1] insert

"Division 4A—Orders for tests if incident has occurred

103AOrders for tests if incident has occurred—prescribed class

For the purposes of section 134(1)(b)(i) of the Act, registered medical practitioners are a prescribed class.".
