Public Health and Wellbeing Amendment (Notifiable Conditions) Regulations 2025

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019 to prescribe additional notifiable conditions.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 232 and 238 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 April 2025.

4Principal Regulations

In these Regulations, the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019[1] are called the Principal Regulations.

5Schedule 3—Registered medical practitioners—notifiable conditions and notification details

In Part 1 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations, after item 1 insert

"1AAvian influenza".

6Schedule 4—Pathology services—notifiable conditions and notification details if result of test indicates person has or may have a notifiable condition

(1)In Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations, after item 1 insert

"1AAvian influenza".

(2)In Part 2 of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations, after item 50 insert

"51Vibrio parahaemolyticus infection".
