I, the Minister for Health, in pursuance of section 51 (2) of the Public Health Act 2010, make the
following Order.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to add Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Infection to the list of medical conditions in the Public Health Act 2010 known as Category 2 conditions. As a result, a medical practitioner who attends a person with the condition, who suspects that a person has the condition or who conducts a post-mortem and suspects the cause of death involved the condition, must notify the Secretary of the Ministry of Health.
This Order is made under section 51 (2) of the Public Health Act 2010.
