Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Public Health Act 1991.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to include Hendra virus infection in the list of medical conditions that must be notified by laboratories to the Director-General of the Department of Health.

This Regulation is made under the Public Health Act 1991, including sections 80 and 82 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Public Health Amendment (Hendra Virus

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.
