Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following
Regulation under the Public Health Act 2010.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to allow the Secretary of the Ministry of Health to appoint members and members of staff of the Department of Customer Service and the NSW Food Authority as authorised officers, either generally or in relation to particular functions exercisable by authorised officers relating to public health.
This Regulation is made under the Public Health Act 2010, including sections 126(1) and 134 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Public Health Amendment (Authorised Officers) Regulation
2020.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Public Health Regulation 2012
Clause 99A
Insert after clause 99—
99A Appointment of authorised officers
(1) For the purposes of section 126(1)(c) of the Act, the following bodies
are prescribed—
(a) the Department of Customer Service, (b) the NSW Food Authority.
(2) This clause is repealed on 26 March 2021.
