PUBLIC HEALTH ACT 1991—REGULATION

(Relating to fees)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Public Health Act 1991, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Public Health Regulation 1991 is amended:

(a)

by omitting from clause 56A (1) the matter “$400” and by inserting instead the matter “$4 15” ;

(b)

by omitting from clause 56A (2) the matter “$200” and by inserting instead the matter “$210”;

(c)

by omitting from clause 66 (2) the matter “$1,040” and by inserting instead the matter “$1,050”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to increase the fees under the Public Health

Regulation 1991 :

(a)

for an application for an approval of equipment and apparatus used in, or in connection with, a crematory (from $400 to $415) and an application for the variation of such an approval (from $200 to $210); and

(b)

for an application for an approval of a disinfection process in a water-cooling system (from $1,040 to $1,050).

This Regulation is made under the Public Health Act 1991, including sections 46, 52

and 82 (the general regulation-making power, in particular, section 82 (2) (s)).
