(Relating to fees)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuanceof the Public Health Act 1991, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 29 April 1994.

Amendments

2. The Public Health Regulation 1991 is amended:

(a)

by omittingfrom clause 37(2)(c) the matter “$200”and by inserting instead the matter “$210”;

(b)

byomittingfromclauses62(2),64(5)and76(2)the matter “$100”wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter “$105”;

(c)

by omitting fromclause66(2)the matter “$1,000”and by inserting instead the matter “$1,040”.

1994—No. 148

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Regulation increases fees under the Public Health Regulation 1991 for

applications to the Director-General of the Department of Health:

(a)

for approvals to exhume the remains of the bodies of dead persons or still-born children (from $200 to $210); and

(b)

in respect of regulated systems designed to prevent or inhibit the growth in the systems of micro-organisms that are liable to cause Legionnaires’ disease and other diseases, for approvals:

• to provide warm-water systems for ablution purposes (from $100

to $105)

• to supply operation manuals or maintenance manuals (from $100

to $105)

• to clean water-cooling systems at intervals longer than 3 months

(from $100 to $105)

• to operate disinfection processes in warm-water systems or

water-cooling systems (from $1,000 to $1,040).

This Regulation is made under the Public Health Act 1991, including section 82

(the general regulation-making power. in particular, section 82 (2) (s)).
