| His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Public Health Act 1991. | ||

| Explanatory note | ||
| The object of this Regulation is to allow a medical practitioner to state the name and address of a patient in a communication made for the purpose of arranging a test to determine if a patient has a Category 5 medical condition. where the patient has given consent for the disclosure. | ||
| This Regulation is made under the Public Health Act 1991, including section 17 ( 1 ) (b). | ||

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Public Health Amendment (Patient
Information) Regulation 1998.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 18 September 1998.
3 Amendment of Public Health Regulation 1991
The Public Health Regulation 1991 is amended as set out in
Schedule 1.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

(Clause 3)
Clause 7 Protection of identity—exceptions
Insert "or if the patient consents to the disclosure of his or her name and address in the communication" after 1988" in clause 7(1).
