Public Health Act 1991

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Public Health Act 1991.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to mend the Public Health Regulation 1991 so as to increase the following application fees:

• for approval to exhume human remains,

• for approval of the equipment and apparatus used in, or in connection with, a crematory,

• for approval for a system producing warm water for ablution purposes,

• for approval for an operation manual or a maintenance manual for a regulated system (such as a hot water system),

• for approval for a disinfection process for a water-cooling system,

• for approval to clean a water-cooling system at intervals of longer than 3 months.

This Regulation is made under the Public Health Act 1991, and, in particular, under section 82 (2) (s), which provides for the making of regulations for or with respect to “the payment of specified fees in relation to applications made, approvals given, and other matters arising, under this Act”.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 13 December 1996.

3 Amendment of Public Health Regulation 1996

The Public Health Regulation 1996 is amended as set out in

Schedule 1.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.
