1Name

This instrument is the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Amendment (Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission) Rules 2022.

    Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.

Schedule 1Amendments

Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014

After clause 10 of Schedule 1

Insert:

10AADomestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission

For the purposes of the finance law:

  1. (a)

    the following group of persons is a listed entity:

    1. (i)

      the person occupying, or performing the duties of, the office known as the Commissioner of the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission;

    2. (ii)

      persons engaged under the Public Service Act 1999 to assist in the performance of the functions of the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission; and

  2. (b)

    the listed entity is to be known as the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission; and

  3. (c)

    the Commissioner of the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission is the accountable authority of the listed entity; and

  4. (d)

    the persons referred to in paragraph (a) are officials of the listed entity; and

  5. (e)

    the purposes of the listed entity include the following:

    1. (i)

      to provide strategic policy advice to the responsible Minister;

    2. (ii)

      to promote and enhance coordination across Commonwealth, State and Territory governments, and the not‑for‑profit and private sectors;

    3. (iii)

      to promote coordinated and consistent monitoring and evaluation frameworks by all governments for the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022‑2032;

    4. (iv)

      to develop and maintain a supportive and structured approach to victim‑survivor engagement;

    5. (v)

      to inform priorities for policy, research and data collection in cooperation with jurisdictions and relevant organisations and agencies;

    6. (vi)

      to promote the objectives of the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022‑2032 across all parts of Australian society.
