1Name

This instrument is the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Amendment (Digital Transformation Agency) Rule 2016.

2Commencement

1. (1)

   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3Authority

This instrument is made under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014

Clause 10 of Schedule 1

Repeal the clause, substitute:

10Digital Transformation Agency

1. (1)

   For the purposes of the finance law:

   1. (a)

      the following group of persons is a listed entity:

      1. (i)

         the person occupying, or performing the duties of, the office known as the Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Transformation Agency;

      2. (ii)

         persons engaged under the Public Service Act 1999 to assist the Chief Executive Officer; and

   2. (b)

      the listed entity is to be known as the Digital Transformation Agency; and

   3. (c)

      the Chief Executive Officer is the accountable authority of the listed entity; and

   4. (d)

      the persons referred to in paragraph (a) are officials of the listed entity; and

   5. (e)

      the purposes of the listed entity include the following:

      1. (i)

         providing strategic and policy leadership on whole of government and shared information and communications technology (ICT) and digital service delivery, including ICT procurement policy;

      2. (ii)

         designing, developing, coordinating, delivering and monitoring policies, standards and delivery platforms for whole of government and shared ICT and digital service delivery;

      3. (iii)

         coordinating the funding of whole of government and shared ICT and digital service delivery platforms;

      4. (iv)

         managing a whole of government ICT program management office which will oversee all significant ICT and digital investments;

      5. (v)

         providing advice to the Minister on whole of government and shared ICT and digital service delivery proposals;

      6. (vi)

         undertaking other relevant tasks as the Minister may require from time to time.

2. (2)

   This clause is repealed at the end of 30 June 2020.
