Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983.

Explanatory note

Division 4 of Part 3 of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983 (the Act) enables the Auditor-General, at the request of the Treasurer, a Minister or certain other persons, to audit certain bodies and funds prescribed for the purposes of that Division.

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Public Finance and Audit Regulation 2000 to remove Sydney Paralympic Organising Committee Limited from the list of bodies prescribed for the purposes of Division 4 of Part 3 of the Act because Sydney Paralympic Organising Committee Limited has been dissolved.

This Regulation is made under the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, including sections 44 and 64 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Public Finance and Audit Amendment (Sydney Paralympic Organising Committee Limited) Regulation 2004.

2 Amendment of Public Finance and Audit Regulation 2000

The Public Finance and Audit Regulation 2000 is amended by omitting clause 20 (1) (r).
