MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 40 (1) (a) of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, make the following Proclamation.

This Proclamation is the Public Finance and Audit Amendment (Electoral
Commission) Proclamation 2013.
2 Commencement
This Proclamation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

Schedule 2 Statutory bodies
Insert in alphabetical order “New South Wales Electoral Commission”.
| Explanatory note |
| The object of this Proclamation is to amend the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983 to include a reference to the New South Wales Electoral Commission in Schedule 2, which will have the effect of requiring that body to keep proper books and records in relation to all of its operations and prepare an annual financial report to be submitted to the Premier and the Auditor-General. The responsibility for complying with these requirements will be transferred from the Electoral Commissioner by the operation of this Proclamation and a regulation under the Act. |
